Profile Expectations

North America is the 2nd largest region for Henkel contributing more than 25% of global sales. There are more than 130 finance colleagues in the region with a similar number supporting in Global Business Solutions Centers (mainly in Manila). We have less country complexity than other regions, but we support many significant strategic projects as well as a regular pipeline of acquisition and divestment projects.

The North American finance team can be grouped into 3 main clusters:

  • One centralized team organized by function covering: General Accounting, Financial Controlling, Order to Cash, Treasury, Tax and Trade
  • Dedicated BU controlling teams for Laundry & Home Care, Beauty Care Consumer and Beauty Care Professional
  • Small teams supporting recent acquisitions or other businesses not on the “One Supply Chain” Model.

​​​​​​​Our experienced teams collaborate to provide strong guidance and support across all businesses and functions in the region.

​​​​​​​Financial & Business Controlling ensures successful business steering as well as commercial and financial excellence in each of the regions and SBUs.  AFA is part of a global network of finance professionals providing support and insights to the nine significant SBUs. 

Our global finance network is divided into three areas:

  • Regional Teams ensure commercial and financial excellence in their respective regions and drive the execution of critical strategic initiatives. They also work closely with the CFDs to manage the business in their region and provide key insights to the local business leaders.
  • Global SBU Teams ensure commercial excellence for SBU strategic finance and provide insights to the Global Management team. They work closely with the regional teams to identify opportunities and enable proper resource allocation to the respective regions.
  • Central Teams drive successful business steering and the overall development of financial processes. They work closely with the regional teams and global SBU teams to set standards and best-in-class processes and represent HAT to the company.

These teams work in concert to provide actionable financial insights, financial processes, and business steering to the global and local stakeholders.

Our purchasing strategy aims to meet our business and customers’ needs providing best in class support to GP1 & Cost targets, Resilience and Risk Management and Top Line growth and sustainability.

 The FP TeamDigitalization and Simplification constitutes the foundation of our strategy.

  • Drive cost out and value into our businesses to enhance Henkel’s purposeful growth agenda connecting business challenges with innovative solutions
  • Increase customer focus by improving supplier service levels
